A very professional surgeon, he made me feel at ease at all times. He gave me my life back and his team are just as fantastic. He came to see me 3 times after surgery and couldn’t have wished for better care. He is an asset to the NHS

It was only six weeks ago that I was a healthy male in my 40s, never had any serious injury or illness and no time spent in hospital. What started with a stiff shoulder over a short period of time ended with extreme pain in my right arm and hand, loss of movement and loss of strength. The MRI scan showed I needed C6 C7 cervical discretionary and cage fusion (AC DP). I was assigned to Mr Hussain. The level of detail and understanding given at our first meeting was both scary yet informative. I knew there would be risks as with all surgery but I had confidence and the positive outcome would always outweigh the negatives / risks. My first time in hospital as a patient and couldn’t fault Mr Hussain or in fact any of the team that looked after me at Hull RI from the ward 4 staff, pre op team, anaesthetist, consultants, post op and recovery. These guys do an amazing job. Mr Hussain made time to visit me straight after the op in person to feed back. Then the next morning to be give me advise on recovery. Once discharged and home he even called me the day after. In short above and beyond. Early days but fingers crossed. I have none of the severe arm pain that I went in with and hope over the coming weeks I reach full recovery. Thank you again to Mr Hussain and all involved at Hull RI.

I had surgery on my lower back performed on 31/10/19 by Dr Hussein which appears to have been successful. His experience and knowledge were first rate and I could not have been in better hands.

After suffering with sciatic pain for 8 months and a dropped foot for the last four months my quality of life was seriously impaired. I was then referred to see Mr hussain on Tuesday the 23rd of July. He listened to every thing I had to say and was extremely sympathetic and showed great compassion for my suffering. He went out of his way to get me a slot for an urgent operation and I had the discectomy operation on Friday 26th July. After Mr hussain completed the operation he came to see me in recovery and then again on the ward to explain everything to me and let me know that everything had gone well. After waking up in recovery I have no sciatic pain and the dropped foot is much improved and may even recover with some Physio therapy. I could not be more grateful to Mr Hussain and would be glad to reccomend to anyone needing surgery. A big thankyou Mr Hussain.
